Therapeutic approach
Therapy at FoxFire is integrative and responsive. We draw from multiple therapeutic frameworks, adapting the approach to the person and the moment rather than applying a single model.
Our work is reflective and collaborative, grounded in curiosity about what has shaped you and what is beginning to change. We explore patterns that once served a purpose, the meanings that organize your experience, and the shifts already underway beneath the surface. This work centers lived experience and supports integration and self-trust as your sense of self reorganizes around what is real now.
Modalities we integrate
We draw from multiple therapeutic traditions, adapting to the person and the meaning that’s emerging.
Modalities we commonly integrate include: Narrative Therapy, Existential Therapy, Internal Family Systems (parts work), Emotion-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused approaches, and attachment- and relationally-informed frameworks.
Creative and expressive practices, such as writing, visual meaning-making, or having sessions outdoors through walking therapy, are incorporated when they support insight and integration in ways conversation alone cannot.
At times, our work may also include reflective reading, between-session practices or homework, and shared resources from books, articles, or other cultural conversations. We often draw from literature, media, or the broader world beyond psychology when these stories can help deepen understanding or open new ways of thinking and feeling together.
Therapy at FoxFire is dynamic and integrative. We hold space for listening and reflection while offering guidance, insight and accountability that inspires growth and change.
Clients come to FoxFire Therapy for support during life transitions, identity changes, and periods of stress or overwhelm. We support individuals, couples, and adolescents working through grief and loss—including ambiguous and anticipatory grief—anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges.
Our work also includes identity exploration across gender and sexuality, neurodivergence approaches from a strengths-based perspective, burnout and chronic stress, career transitions, and the emotional impact of chronic illness or diagnosis.
Many of the people we work with are creatives, caregivers, and deep thinkers who feel overwhelmed, stretched thin, or disconnected, and are looking for clarity, direction, and a stronger sense of self.
At FoxFire, we meet you where you are. And walk alongside you on the path of becoming.
