A forest at night illuminated by thousands of fireflies, creating a glowing yellow light among the trees and on the forest floor.

About FoxFire Therapy

Why the name FoxFire?

Foxfire is a bioluminescence created by fungi growing in decaying wood. It appears in darkness, often unnoticed, illuminating forest floors with a soft, steady glow.

That image shapes the philosophy of this practice. Many people come to therapy during moments when something old has ended and something new has not yet taken form. These periods can feel disorienting, quiet, or unseen—yet they often hold the conditions for growth.

FoxFire Therapy Group exists to support those moments. The work focuses on helping people recognize the insight, meaning, and direction already forming beneath the surface, and to move through transition with intention and care.

Our Vision

FoxFire Therapy is a counseling practice rooted in the belief that people move through life in chapters—becoming, remembering, shedding, and rebuilding along the way. The work here centers on supporting individuals, couples, and adolescents during periods of transition, when identity is shifting and old stories no longer fit as they once did.

The practice is intentionally designed to grow as a group practice. Over time, FoxFire will include therapists who share a commitment to thoughtful, meaning-centered work with identity, grief, and life transitions. Each clinician brings their own voice and perspective, while working from shared values: curiosity, depth, integrity, and respect for the complexity of becoming.

Our values

Ethical creativity

Symbolic and creative elements are used as meaning-making tools, grounded in clinical practice and client choice.

Respect for complexity

Identity, grief, and transition rarely move in straight lines. The work honors nuance, contradiction, and emergence.

Client authorship

Clients remain the primary authors of their stories. Therapy supports clarity and agency rather than prescription.

Grounded presence

The therapeutic relationship is steady, attuned, and thoughtful—designed to support difficult conversations without urgency or judgment.

Meaning before momentum

We prioritize understanding and coherence so that change unfolds with stability and intention.
